As always, the last few weeks have been pretty hectic here and there is plenty on the go as well.
Firstly, we are very excited to announce that we have not one but two new signings!! Mark Rooney (And Band) and mrjaymathy AKA themightyroadflower are now onboard and we are very lucky to have them!
Mark Rooney And Band have their debut album recorded 'Welcome To Concrete' and we will be looking to release something very soon. Having already impressed at the Mark Morriss gig, I know anticipation is high for these guys.
Jay has got a lot of tracks demoed and we will be looking to release a single of some kind first to whet the appetite for a full release later in the year/early 2011. Having played a solo spot for us at Gunwharf Quays recently I can't wait to get some official releases out as quite frankly the tracks are breathtaking!
The current crop of Angry Badger releases are selling well with both In Darklight and The Rising CDs (and downloads) available now.
Both CDs are now on sale in HMV in Southampton as well as online from Iconic Culture or you can buy the downloads from iTunes and Amazon.
After the fun of the Jubilee nights we are getting back to a few Angry Badger events coming up over the next few weeks starting with The Lost Boys and Moody Tuesday at the Soul Cellar on Friday 24th September.
We then have Badger Fest III being held at The Hobbit on the 25th September. Starting at 6pm and running through until 1am, we have a fantastic line up with Moody Tuesday, Lost Morals, Mark Rooney and Timshel taking part along with Gecko and Thee Chancers too.
The big events come in October when we will have a weekend of shows. Moody Tuesday will be headlining the Soul Cellar on Friday 15th October to preview their upcoming debut album and this is followed by The Rising taking The Joiners by storm on Saturday 16th October.
All the details should be finalised soon and we will bring you all the news as soon as we have it confirmed.
We should also be following up the In Darklight and The Rising releases with new CDs from the likes of Lost Morals, Mark Rooney and Moody Tuesday as well as a new single from Kodiak Jack. It is just a case of finalising artwork and the like so we should be able to announce actual release dates in the next few weeks.
Full details of all our upcoming shows can be found on our GIGS page or alternatively you can join us on Facebook and get up to the minute invites to all of our events.
As ever you can still pick up some of the past Angry Badger Releases (as well as the new ones of course) from our sister site Iconic Culture. A full discography of all the Angry Badger releases can be found under the 'Bits To Buy' section of the site.
